2 cups (Base) of any mashed fruit or vegetables cooked mashed veggies (carrots, zucchini, yams, squash, bananas, applesauce, potatoes etc. Any leftover cooked cereal.)
2 TBS to 1/4 cup shortening, butter or oil
1/2 cup sugar (brown or white) or any other sweetner ex: honey, molasses, corn syrup.
2 tsp. salt
1 TBS yeast
5 cups flour white, wheat, rye or do 1/2 and 1/2
Optional;
1 or 2 eggs
Dry powder milk
Oat bran
Oatmeal
Flavoring of any kind
Raisens or any chopped dry fruit
Nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix base with shortening, sweetner,salt & eggs if using them. Add yeast mixture and mix well
Add flour to make stiff dough but still sticky, kneading well until gluten is developed.
Cover and let raise till doubled if using regular yeast. (quick yeast only requires 1 rise)
Shape into loaves or rolls. Let raise again
Bake 350 for 20 to 30 minutes till you have a nice golden brown.Brush with butter when it comes out of oven.(optional)
