4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (fresh is best)
1 cup soft butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Come top five (5) dry ingredients in large bowl.
In small mixer, combine and cream butter with
sugar; add egg, mixing thoroughly before
adding sour cream and vanilla; stir gently.
Add to flour mixture; stirring into ball on wax
paper; seal or place in plastic bag.
Refrigerate overnight or several hours.

Preheat oven to 375º.
Roll dough onto lightly floured dough board; cut
as desired; place on lightly greased cookie
sheet or non-stick sheet for baking.
Bake @ 375º for 10-15 minutes or until lightly
browned.

May be sprinkled with a little sugar while warm or
cool before frosting with icing, as desired or paint brush colors made from beaten egg yolk, food coloring as desired and a little water. Brush on cut-outs BEFORE baking.
