24 cucumbers, whole
1/8 t. alum
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 heads dill
1 qt. vinegar
1 c. salt
3 qt. water
Grape leaves

Directions:
Directions:
Place cucumbers whole in ice water. Add dill, vinegar, salt and water to a saucepan and boil. Add alum and garlic.
Cut cucumbers into spears or halves and place in quart jars. Cool pickling liquid slightly and pour over cucumbers in jars.
Process in water bath per canning recipes.
