8 egg whites stiffly beaten
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup sifted cake flour
1 tsp vanilla

Yellow:
8 egg yolks
1 cup sugar
pinch of salt
1 1/3 tsp. baking powder
1/3 cup boiling water
l tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
White: Add dry ingredients and vanilla gradually to egg whites.
Yellow: Add sugar and salt to egg yolks. Beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with water.
Line bottom of ungreased tube pan with waxed paper and spoon in the white and yellow mixtures alternately.
Bake 350 º 45-50 minutes.
