6 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt (I leave this out)
1 stick margarine or butter (I use a little less)

Beat eggs, flour, milk and salt together. Melt butter in long pan (9 X 13) as oven heats. Bake in 425º oven for 20 minutes. It will puff up all over (especially the edges) while baking, so remove racks if necessary to allow room.
Serve with fresh fruit, jam or syrup.

Children as well as adults love these. They are fast and easy. Mother (Kathryn Diel) began this tradition with my children and I have continued it with my grandchildren. Sometimes I think they at least try them at first because of the name and how they look and later because they tasted so good!
