1 c. shortening 1/2 c. Bourbon
1/2 tsp nutmeg 2 1/4 c. sugar
1 3/4 tsp baking powder 6 eggs
3 c. flour 1/2 tsp salt
5 oz sour cream plus 1 Tbsp
1 c. finely chopped nuts

Glaze -
2 c. sugar 2 Tbsp Bourbon
2 Tbsp water

Directions:
Beat shortening at medium speed; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Combine sour cream and bourbon, add to shortening mixture, alternately with flour mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix only until blended after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into greased and floured 10 in. tube pan. Bake at 335º - 340º for about 1 hour plus 20 minutes or until wooden pick in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove. Let cool on wire rack completely. Drizzle glaze over cake.

Combine sugar, bourbon and water. Stir well.
