2 sticks margarine,4 chocolate baking squares,1/2 cup shortening, 1 cup water, 2 cups sugar, 2 cups flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup buttermilk, 1 tsp baking soda, 8 tbsp milk,1 box powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 cup chopped pecans

CAKE:
In sauce pan bring to boil:
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup water
2 chocolate baking squares

Remove from heat and add:
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
Beat until until smooth

Add 2 beaten eggs

Put 1 tsp baking soda into 1/2 cup buttermilk and add to mixture

Pour into greased, floured sheet cake pan and bake at 375 º for 25 minutes

FROSTING
In sauce pan bring to boil:
1 stick margarine
2 chocolate baking squares
8 tbsp milk

Remove from heat and add:
1 box of powdered sugar,
1 tsp vanilla extract

Beat until smooth

Stir in 1 cup of chopped pecans and spread on hot cake
