6 strips of bacon
1 large onion, chopped
1 large can (51 oz) of minced clams
1/4 can water
2 – 3 potatoes diced
2 or 3 carrots chopped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
½ teaspoon dill weed
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup flour
1/2 pint heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
Saute the onion and bacon until brown. Discard bacon. Strain clams reserving liquid. Cook potatoes and carrots in clam juice until soft, then add clams and spices. Whisk flour well in one cup of cold water and add slowly to pan stirring constantly until it thickens. Remove from heat. Stir in cream.
