1/4 c butter
1/4 c sugar
1 egg white
1 t vanilla
1/2 c molasses
1 c water
1 1/4 c all purpose flour
3/4 t baking powder
1/2 t ground ginger
1/2 t ground cinnamon
1/4 t salt
1/4 t ground allspice
1/8 t ground nutmeg
1/2 c pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg white and vanilla.
Combine molasses and water until blended. Combine flour and spices. Alternately add flour mixture and molasses mixture with creamed mixture, beat well after each addition. Fold in pecans. Pour batter into a 3 qt. slow cooker. Sprinkle with 6 T. brown sugar. Combine 3/4 c hot water and 2/3 c melted butter, pour over batter. Do not stir. Cover, cook on high for 2-2 1/2 hours or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Turn off, let set 15 min.. Serve warm with whipped topping.
