1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1 c. raw peanuts
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
In a 1 1/2 qt. casserole dish stir well together sugar and syrup. Microwave at High 3 - 4 min.
Stir in peanuts. Microwave at High 1 1/2 min.
Add butter and vanilla to syrup, blending well. Microwave at High 1 min. more. Peanuts will be lightly browned and syrup, very hot.
Add baking soda and gently stir until light and foamy.
Pour mixture quickly onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Let cool 1/2 to 1 hr. When cool, break into small pieces and store in airtight container.
Microwaves differ on wattage. You may have to experiment with the times. Be careful, the brittle will burn very easily if cooked too long.
