1 c. shortening
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
filling
egg white wash (egg white and tsp of water)

Directions:
Directions:
Bake at 350 degrees

Mix all ingredients except filling. Roll dough out and cut into desired shape and size. Fill the middle with your favorite filling. Press edges close; place on greased cookie sheet and brush with egg wash. Bake for 12 to 15 mins.
