6 large fresh artichokes
1 cup italian breadcrumbs
4 cloves minced fresh garlic
1/2 cup romano cheese or parmesan
4 tbls fresh chopped parsley
3/4 cup olive oil
pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare artichokes by chopping off tops and stems, and trimming leaves.
Steam in microwave or stovetop for 15 mins.
Strain and cool.

Preheat oven to 350
Over wax paper - Spread leaves and stand artichokes - begin sprinkling leaves generously with:
* minced fresh garlic
* italian bread crumbs
* romano/and or parmesan cheese ge
* parsley and pepper
* moisten/drench with olive oil - be generous!!!

Place in glass or tin baking pan, cover loosely with tin foil and bake at 350 for 1/2 hour ! Enjoy!

These are a lot of work....but worth it. Romano cheese is the best for this recipes as its the most flavorful - This has become a Thanksgiving tradition, and my yearly assignment! A favorite treat for Kristin and Nancy. Hope you enjoy making them as well! L, Carol
