Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup oleo
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk, scalded
2 beaten eggs
2 cakes yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
4 1/2 cups sifted bread flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 4 ingredients; add eggs and 2 cakes of yeast which have been dissolved in the lukewarm water. Add flour, mix well and let rise well.
Knead good and then stretch out on jelly roll pan and put streusel topping on (ingredients not given). Let rise quite high and bake at 400º for 15-20 minutes.
Added note:
Thought you might need this & so much confusion around here Monday. I use 1/2 cake of Fleishman's yeast. The big cake and when I mix it I add cut up dates & nuts right in batter and it's real rich & sticky and after it raises good I put some flour right on table & pour this batter on it and knead good, only no more flour than you have to use as it's flakier. Then I use 2 long cake pans instead of a cookie sheet as they are deeper. Mixed fruit is nice in it too and I use brown sugar, oleo and flour for streusel & some cinnamon.

Personal Notes:
I don't know who wrote this recipe. There are 2 different types of handwriting, neither looks like Grandma Ginny's.
