Crust:
Mix together thoroughly:
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar
Stir in 1 cup flour
Press in bottom of ungreased 13x9 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Filling:
2 eggs.
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 T. flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped nuts

For filling, beat the eggs then stir in the remaining ingredients. Pour over crust and return to oven to bake for 25 minutes
