Ingredients: 2.5 cups all purpose flour half teaspoon baking soda quarter teaspoon salt 1 cup (packed) dark brown sugar half cup granulated sugar 1 cup salted butter (softened) 2 Large eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 cups approx semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:Preheat oven to 300
In medium bowl combine flour, soda, and sat. mix well with whisk. Set aside
In large bowl (you can use electric mixer if you prefer) blend sugars. Add in butter to form a grainy paste. Add eggs and vanilla and blend just until blended. Don't over mix.
Add in the flour mixture and chocolate chips.
Drop tablespoons of the batter into an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. |

Notes: I like to bake these cookies just until the edges are golden. this way it will keep the cookies moist and chewy. If you prefer a crispier cookie, bake them a little longer. I use to bake these cookies for my dad all the time. They were one of my favorites and were his too.
