2 slabs pork spareribs
2 tbsp chili powder
salt and pepper

1 tbsp butter or margarine
1/2 small onion chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/3 cup cider vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp mustard

Preheat oven to 400º. Season ribs with chili powder, salt and pepper. Cut slabs into 2-3 rib sections and stack 5 pieces per pack wrapped in double layer foil wrapping tightly next to meat. Place foil packages on rimmed cookie sheet and bake for 2 hours.

Meanwhile, make BBQ sauce. In a medium saucepan melt butter and saute onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook 2-3 minutes until soft. Add ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire, cayenne, brown sugar, molasses and mustard. Simmer about 5 minutes until slightly thick.

Heat BBQ to medium high. Take ribs out of foil packages carefully and place on grill. Brush generously with BBQ sauce and grill until charred 2-3 minutes per side.
