4 lbs pork spareribs cut into serving pieces; 2 cups onions sliced; 2 cloves garlic minced; 1 tbsp oil; 1/4 cup vinegar; 1/4 cup chili sauce; 3 tbsp brown sugar; 2 tsp lemon juice; 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce; 1 tsp dry mustard

Roast ribs, meaty side down in shallow roasting pan at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Drain off excess fat. Turn ribs meaty side up. Meanwhile cook onion and garlic in oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients, 1/2 cup water and 1-1/2 tsp salt. Simmer 10 minutes. Pour sauce over ribs. Bake ribs in a 350 degree oven about 1-1/2 hours or until tender. basting occasionally with sauce. If sauce gets too think add more water.
