2 cups raisins
1 cup water
1 cup shortening/margarine
2 cups white sugar
3 eggs
1 Tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
1 Tsp. baking powder
1 Tsp. baking soda
1 Tsp. salt
1 1/2 Tsp. cinnamon
1/4 Tsp. nutmeg
Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes then cool for 1/2 hour.

Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add cool raisins.
Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon & nutmeg. Add dry mixture to moist ingredients.

Bake @ 375º 12 - 15 minutes
