1 cup butter
2 1/3 cups light brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
dash salt
1 (15oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

Directions:
Using a LARGE microwavable bowl, melt butter on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Mix together remaining ingredients, except vanilla, and microwave on high for 15 minutes, stirring after each 5 minutes. Test a small amount in cold water to form a firm ball. Add vanilla and pour in a buttered 7 x 12 inch pan. After the caramels cool cut into small pieces and wrap in wax paper.
