3/4 c sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
1 egg (must watch your cholesterol)
2 t vanilla extract
1 t almond extra
2-1/2 c all purpose flour
1 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
2 c chopped pecans

º350 preheated
In a humongous mixing bowl, cream butter and all sugars. Beat in egg and extracts. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Gradually stir in pecans. Roll in 1 " balls and put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes (not 10!) Cool on sheet for at least 3 minutes before placing on cooling rack.

Mom uses Kathy's Kitchen Aid mixer for this and it just makes it, because the quantities are so large and it is very hard to make these stirring by hand.
