1 lb ground beef, 1/2 lb gound lean pork, 1/2 C uncooked rice, 1 large head of cabbage, 1 can tomatoes, water, salt & pepper

Directions:
Remove core from cabbage and boil in salt water for 10 minutes. Mix meats, rice, & seasonings. Wrap meat about size of an egg in cabbage leaves. Put in kettle: add tomatoes. Cover with water (use same water that you boiled cabbage in). Cook slowly for 1 1/2 hrs. Do not boil. Cover kettle with plate & hang 2 cloves garlic over kettle
