9 c. flour
3 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. granulated sugar
4 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. salt
4 c. butter, margarine, or shortening

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl combine flour, sgars, baking soda, and salt; stir to blend. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal. Store mix in one large bag or divide into four 4-3/4 cup portions. Mix made with butter or margarine can be stored in freezer up to 4 months. Mix made with shortening can be stored in cupboard up to 6 months. Makes 2 large batches, 6 to 8 dozen cookies.
