4 tbsp. tomato puree
dash of tabasco sauce
1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
1 1/2 c. maple syrup
2 tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
3 lbs. spareribs

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Combine all ingredients except spareribs. Mix well.
2. Place spareribs in shallow, heavy, glass roasting pan in one layer. Pour sauce over ribs and marinate several hours.
3. Bake 1 1/2 hours or until ribs are tender. Baste frequently with sauce and turn ribs occasionally. Serves 4.
