2 T cornstarch
¼ cup lt. brown sugar
¼ cup honey
½ cup water
6 cups sliced peaches
2 T butter
1 ½ T lemon juice
1 cup flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 T softened butter
1 egg slightly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Put cornstarch, brown sugar and honey in a saucepan. Gradually add the water, stirring constantly until smooth. Place over medium heat and cook until thickened, still stirring constantly. Add the peaches and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add butter and lemon juice. When the butter has melted, stir and pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for batter, beating until well mixed and smooth. Drop batter by T. over the hot peach mixture. Bake in a preheated 375 oven for 60 min. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

This summer dessert is a favorite in our family. We enjoy picking the peaches at the fruit farm and then preparing it. We think it tastes better when we do!
