1 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 c flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Add sugar and gradually cream till light and fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time. Beat after each. Stir in vanilla and dry ingredients. Chill 3-4 hours. Roll on floured board 1/2 " thick. Cut with cookie cutters into desired shapes. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.
