1 pt. oysters
3/4 c. butter, divided
1 gal. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Put oysters and 1/4 c. butter in saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook until oysters just start to curl. Drain off most of liquid, but not all. Heat milk and add 1/2 cup butter to the milk. Cook on low heat. Do Not Boil!

May also be done in a crockpot on low heat all day, stirring occasionally.
