Cream together: 1 2/3 cup sugar, 1 cup margarine or shortening, 2 eggs, 1 cup sour cream
Stir together: 2 tsp. baking powder, 8-8 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp lemon extract (opt), 1 tsp. vanilla

Chill dough. Roll out, sprinkle with a little sugar, and roll again lightly. Cut into small rounds. Bake at 375ºF for 10-12 minutes.
