1 lb. lean ground pork
1 large onion diced
2-3 cloves garlic minced
2 cans (14.5 oz.) chicken broth
2 cans (14.5 oz.) Italian-style tomatoes
1 can (15 oz.) white beans drained
2 tbsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. fennel seeds
1 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
1/2 cup small pasta (dilatelli, small shells or elbow macaroni)

Cook pasta according to directions, set aside

In a large heavy pot or Dutch oven brown & crumble pork. Stir in onion & garlic & cook until onion is soft (approx. 3 minutes). Stir in all remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil & then lower heat & simmer 10-12 minutes. Serve in bowls or soup plates & top with Parmesan or pecarino cheese.
