Sauce:
2 tsp. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. minced ginger
1 tbls. minced garlic
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. water
3/4 c. dark brown sugar
Meat:
1 c. vegetable oil
1 lb. flank steak
1/4 c. cornstarch
4 green onions, sliced

Directions:

Sauce: Heat oil in pan over med/low heat. Add ginger and garlic. Saute for a minute. Add water and soy sauce. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved. Raise heat to med/high and boil 3-5 minutes until sauce thicken slightly.
Meat: Slice steak against the grain into 1/4 inch bite size pieces. Toss meat in ziploc w/ cornstarch. Allow meat to rest in bag 10 minutes. Heat oil in large skillet or wok on med heat. Add beef to oil and cook 2-3 minutes, until edges darken. Use slotted spoon to remove meat and place on plate w/ paper towel. Remove oil from skillet and place meat w/ sauce back into the pan. Boil 3-5 minutes or until sauce thickens. Sprinkle green onions on top and serve w/ rice.
