1 1/2 C. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C. shortening
2 3/4 C. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/8 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening & sugar together, add eggs, beat well. Add lemon, vanilla, cream of tartar.
Mix dry ingredients together, then add to mix. Mix well.
Shape into balls, roll in cinnamon & sugar. Bake @ 400 º 8 min.

Always a crowd pleaser! Be careful not to overbake or they will dry out. To put moisture back into cookies that have dried out and become hard, put a piece of celery in with the cookies. The celery lasts for several days, and your cookies will be soft and moist again!
