4 C. brown sugar
2 C.melted shortening
4 eggs

2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
6 C oat meal (old fashioned)
1 C. raisins
1 C. nuts
1 C. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Combine & mix all ingredients well, it makes a fairly stiff dough, so if it is too runny add more oatmeal and flour, 1/4 cup at a time. It should not spread out very much during baking. Drop large spoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake @ 350º 12 - 15 min. Do not overcook.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
These are our #1 cookie in camp! Sometimes we divide the dough in half, with chocolate chips in one half and raisins in the other. The hunters often comment that two cookies are like a meal all by themselves! Don't overbake and the centers will be soft and chewy!
