1 c. raisins
1 c. + water
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 t. cloves
1/2 t. cinnamon
1 t. baking soda
1 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
2 c. flour
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
In a 3 quart sauce pan boil raisins in 1 c. + water. Need to have 1 c. water left on raisins. Add shortening, stir to melt. When cooled slightly, add sugar, cloves and cinnamon.
Sift together soda, baking powder, salt and flour and add to raisin mixture. Beat in eggs.
Bake for 15 minutes in a 10 X 15 inch pan at 350º. Frost with powdered sugar frosting while still warm.
