Wild Huckleberry Pie Recipe

3 - 4 C. huckleberries
1 C. water
1 C. sugar
4 T. cornstarch
Topping(see below)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix berries, water, cornstarch, sugar , cook gently until liquid thickens, pour into crust.
For topping, mix 3/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/3 C sugar, 3/4 C flour & 6 T butter until crumbly, sprinkle over top of pie. Bake @ 350º
until browned & fruit is hot and bubbly. Let cool to thicken.

Huckleberries are native to the western Montana area. If you come here, you just HAVE to try them in some way, shape or form...but pie would be one of the best ways!
