2 1/4 cups sifted cake flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 T baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup cooking oil
5 egg yolks
3/4 cup water
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla
8 egg whites (1 cup)
1/2 tsp cream of tarter

Directions:
Directions:
In a small mixing bowl sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center. Add cooking oil, egg yolks, water, lemon juice, and vanilla. Beat mixture at high speed about 5 minutes or until satiny smooth. In a large bowl combine egg whites and cream of tarter; beat at medium speed until very stiff peaks form. Pour batter in a thin stream over entire surface of beaten egg whites; fold in gently. Pour into ungreased 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 70 minutes or until cake tests done. Invert pan and cool.
