1 1/2 cup seedless raisins
1/2 to 2/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoon cornstarch
l tablespoon vinegar
( 2 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tarter
4 T. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
few grains salt for meringue)

Directions:
Directions:
Cover raisins with cold water and cook until tender. Stir once in awhile with fork and add more hot water if not done. mix 1/2 to 2/3 cup sugar with 3 tablespoons of cornstarch and stir into raisins slowly and cook until thickened, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar ,cool and put in a baked pie crust. , Put meringue on top, bake 4 1/2 minutes at 425 degrees. or until brown .
