1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 & 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 & 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 400 degrees.
2. Cream together the butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy (takes about 5 minutes). Beat in the vanilla and the egg.
3. Mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually, but quickly add the flour mixture to the dough. Be careful to not over-mix or cookies will be tough.
4. Mix together 2 tbsp. sugar and 2 tbsp. of cinnamon.
5. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in the cinnamon/sugar mixture. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, 3 across and 4 down.
6. Bake 8-10 minutes. Remove immediately from cookie sheet.
