16 oz can beets, save 1/3 C liquid
2 T. sugar
1 T. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 C. vinegar
2 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
In sauce pan combine sugar, cornstarch, salt. Stir in beet juice, vinegar & butter. Cook & stir until mixture thickens & bubbles. Add beets, heat through.

Beets? I never thought I would eat anything called a "beet," until I had them fresh from the garden, topped with a little butter, yummy! So, I started to branch out with beets and this quickly became a favorite with canned beets. The sweet-sour taste combination works perfectly!
