9 inch pie shell, baked
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tbsp. corn starch
1 tbsp. flour
3 cups milk
3 squares unsweetened chocolate, cut up
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Mix in sauce pan; sugar, salt, corn starch and flour. Stir milk and chocolate in gradually. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil one minute, remove from heat. Stir at least 1 cup of hot mixture slowly into the 3 slightly beaten egg yolks. Then blend into hot mixture in sauce pan. Pour into pie shell. Cool.

Save egg whites if you'd like to top your pie with meringue. Beat egg whites, 1 tsp. vanillla and 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually beat in 6 tbsp. sugar, 1 at a time until thick and glossy. Spread on top of cooled pie and bake in 425 degree oven until brown.
