2 cups flour
1 1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup cocoa
3/4 cup sour milk or buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, soda and salt. Blend well. Beat butter until creamy. Add sugar gradually beating after each addition until light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Mix in cocoa. Add flour alternating with sour milk beating until smooth. Add vanilla and boiling water and beat well. Turn into greased loaf pan and bake at 350º for 45 minutes.
