1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs, separated (save whites)
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup cold water
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together in small bowl the flour, baking powder and salt. Combine cold water to the egg yolks and beat until fluffy. Continue beating adding sugar gradually. Blend in flour mixture. Beat egg whites until stiff, add vanilla, fold into cake batter. Bake for 1 hour at 325º.

For pineapple upside down cake. Put in cast iron frying pan 1 cup brown sugar, 3 tbsp. butter, heat until it foams. Add sliced pineapple and 1 cup of chopped walnuts. Pour cake batter over top. Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
