Dressing:
1/2 cup milk
1 Tbsp vinegar (preferably apple cider)
1 to 1-1/2 Tbsp sugar
1/8 to 1/4 tsp salt
pinch of pepper
Mix together and pour over lettuce in a bowl. Mix completely.
Dumplings added to each serving.
(If this dressing doesn't suit your taste, just add sugar and vinegar to your liking).
Leftover dressing can be kept for later.

1 egg (beat with fork)
scant to 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup flour
Mix and drop by very small amounts into pan of boiling water. Cook about 15 minutes. Drain. Cool. Saute in margarine until golden brown. Use as needed.
Leftover dumplings can be saved for future use.

I served this to Jim (Rock's brother) one time when he was visiting and he still raves about it!

This was a recipe from Bruce who used to work for Mom (Dad and Dave too, I guess).
