1 - 9" baked pie shell
4 to 5 cups of fresh strawberries
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
2 1/2 T cornstarch
1 tsp red food coloring (optional)
3 T strawberry or raspberry jello

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, cornstarch, and red food coloring. Cook and stir until glossy. Remove from heat and add the jello. Cool and add the fresh strawberries. Pour into baked pie shell and refrigerate for and hour or more. Serve with whipped cream or cool whip.
