2 c butter, softened
2 c granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 15 oz can of pumpkin
4 c of all purpose flour
1/2 c butter
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c of milk
1 tsp of vanilla
2 3/4 c powdered sugar
1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350º.

In a large bowl, beat 2 cups butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 sec. Add granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Beat until combined, scraping bowl occasionally. Add eggs and 2 tsps vanilla; beat until combined. Beat in pumpkin. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Add chocolate chips to mix. Using wooden spoon, stir in any remaining flour. Mix thoroughly.

Drop dough by heaping tsp 2" apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until tops are set. Transfer cookies to a wire cooling rack. Let cool.

For frosting, in a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup butter and brown sugar until melted and smooth. Transfer to a medium bowl. Stir in milk and 1 tsp vanilla. Beat in powdered sugar until smooth. Spread frosting on cookies. If desired, sprinkle with additional cinnamon.
