4 lbs. brisket....sprinkle with Salt, pepper & garlic powder
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 can beer 12 oz.
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 can whole cranberry sauce (use 8 oz.) I sometimes throw a little more in


I cook the meat one day, pour the sauce into a bowl and refrigerate over night. The next day I slice the meat and skim the fat off the sauce. Put brisket in sauce and heat to serve. Also freezes well.

Put brisket on a very large piece of heavy foil that is sitting in a pan.
Mix all the ingredients to make sauce and pour over brisket. Wrap meat and sauce tightly in the foil.

Roast at 325 degrees for about 4 hrs.
