1/2 lb bacon
1 med onion
1/2 cup celery
2 Tbsp flour
4 c half & half
5 red potatoes diced
4 corn on the cob
1 small can cream corn
2 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 red pepper
1/4 tsp thyme

Directions:
Directions:
Remove husks from corn and baste with olive oil cut red pepper in half and baste with olive oil. Grill corn and peppers until tender.
Set aside. In large saucepan fry bacon until crisp. remove and drain. Pour all but 3 T drippings from saucepan. Add chopped onion, chopped celery and garlic to pan cook until tender.Add fresh thyme Remove from heat blend in flour. Cook over low heat until bubbly. Slowly stir in cream Heat to boiling stiring constantly Boil 1 min. Remove corn from husks and chop red pepper in small pieces. Add to soup cut potatoes in small chunks and add to soup. Cook until potatoes are tender. Add cream corn and bacon heat through. I f soup is too thick add small amounts of chicken stock to thin.
