3 C. soy sauce
2 C. sugar (Splenda works also)
½ T. Monosodium glutamate
1/6 C. sweet vermouth
½ T. Meat tenderizer
2” x 2” chunk mashed and peeled ginger root
3 cloves crushed garlic
*1 bunch green onions sliced in 1” pieces
*3 oz. sesame oil
*¼ tsp cayenne powder

*If you omit these ingredients, you have teriyaki sauce

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in Large ziplock bag. Add meat (boneless, skinless chicken thighs or spare ribs work best). Seal & Marinate in refrigerator over night.
Place meat on hot grill and grill until done.

This is a recipe I got from my Hawaiian friend. It is a marinade kind of like teriyaki.
