1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. cake flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400º. Stir together flour and salt; set aside. Cream shortening, add sugar. Beat in vanilla. Add flour mixture. Drop by spoonfuls. Bake at 350º for 9 to 11 minutes.Bake on ungreased baking sheet, bake 8 minutes until set but not brown. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm. Makes 5 dozen, the size of a quarter.
