1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 1/2 c. applesauce
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 c. raisins
Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves; set aside. Cream shortening, add sugar. Add eggs, beating well. Alternately add flour mixture and applesauce to butter mixture. Stir in raisins. Spread batter in greased and floured cake pan. Bake in 350º for 35 to 40 minutes.
