1 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup rice krispies
6 oz chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

Mix all ingredients. Roll in ball and flatten slightly with a fork. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes.
Can use cornflakes instead of rice krispies. Grandma also like to add raisins and coconut.

I remember Grandma offering these cookies often when we went to visit her. She usually had some in a cottage cheese type container on her kitchen table. Of course Grandma never let us have "just one"!
