1/3c. shortening
1/2c. white sugar
1/2c. brown sugar
1 egg
1tsp. vanilla
1c. flour
1c. rolled oats
1/2tsp. baking soda
1/2tsp. salt
1/2tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, add the sugars and cream well. Add egg and beat. Then add the vanilla. Stir together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and rolled oats and add to the creamed mixture. Roll small balls of dough between you hands until surface of dough is shinny. Bake in a ungreased baking sheet in 375º oven for 12-15 minutes.
